Realeanna Grimmond has been called up to the West Indies Women’s senior squad for the first time, replacing Jamaican all-rounder Chinelle Henry for the upcoming white-ball tour of England.

The 15-player squad also sees Rashada Williams make way for Jahzara Claxton, the first Kittitian to be selected for the senior women’s side. The two additions means it is not the squad that competed in the recent ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan.
The tour, scheduled from May 21 to June 8, will see the West Indies Women face England in three T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals, played at various venues across England. Hayley Matthews will continue as captain, with Shemaine Campbelle named vice-captain.
The team features six Guyanese players, with Campbelle and Grimmond joined by Ashmini Munisar, Mandy Mangru, Shabika Gajnabi, and Cherry-Ann Fraser.
Grimmond, a 20-year-old all-rounder who played for the West Indies Under-19, is known for her aggressive style of play and brings balance to the team with her ability to contribute with both bat and ball. She caught the attention of the coaching staff during this year’s CG United Women’s Super 50 Cup, where she averaged 39 across six matches as Guyana finished third.
Her notable performances included half-centuries of 71 and 72 not out against Jamaica, as well as innings of 48 not out against Windward Islands and 30 against Leeward Islands.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) described the squad as “a strong mix of experienced players and emerging talent eager to represent the region well,” as the team aims to rebuild momentum on the international stage.
