Some of the finest pool players in country are set to compete this month as the Cue Sports Association of Guyana (CSAG) launches its most ambitious tournament yet — the National 8-Ball Team Championship.

The competition begins on June 8 at the Embassy Sports Bar, Movietowne in Turkeyen, East Coast Demerara, and will feature 168 players representing 24 teams from across the country.
Teams from Bartica, Linden, Berbice, Georgetown, Mahaica, and the East Coast, East Bank, West Bank, and West Coast Demerara have all confirmed their participation — a clear indication of the sport’s surging popularity and competitive edge across the regions.
The tournament will not be confined to a single location. Instead, matches will be staged across six host venues, including Georgetown, Berbice, and West Coast Demerara, allowing fans from multiple communities to witness elite-level cue sports action up close.
The nation’s top team will be crowned champions on July 7 after a month of intense competition.
