Four Guyanese players, including batsman Shimron Hetmyer, have been named in the West Indies T20 International squad for their three-match series against England, which begins on Friday.

Batsmen Sherfane Rutherford and Romario Shepherd, along with left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie, are also included in the 15-man squad, led by captain and wicketkeeper Shai Hope.

The West Indies face a stern test against a strong England side as part of their summer tour. The series opener will be played at Chester-le-Street in Durham, followed by fixtures in Bristol (June 8) and Southampton (June 10).

The T20 series comes on the heels of a disappointing 3-0 ODI defeat to England earlier this month, with the Caribbean side now looking to bounce back in the shorter format.

Hetmyer returns to international action following another Indian Premier League (IPL) season with Rajasthan Royals. The left-hander scored 239 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 145.73 during the 2025 IPL campaign.

West Indies squad for T20Is vs England: Shai Hope (captain), Brandon King (vice-captain), Johnson Charles, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Rovman Powell, Andre Russell, Sherfane Rutherford and Romario Shepherd.
