Elite League champions Guyana Defence Force FC will kick off their Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Shield campaign on July 26 against St Paul’s United FC of St Kitts and Nevis.
The regional tournament, which runs until August 3 in Trinidad and Tobago, features top clubs from across the Caribbean vying for a place in the expanded Concacaf competitions.
Drawn into a challenging Group B, the Guyanese side will face Moca FC (Dominican Republic), SV Britannia (Aruba), AS Étoile de Matoury (French Guiana), and Paradise FC International (Grenada), alongside their opening opponents.

Defending champions Arnett Gardens FC of Jamaica are unlikely to make things easy for any of their rivals in this year’s competition.
GDF FC, Guyana’s most successful domestic club, boasts a proud history of dominance in the Elite League and features several players from the national senior men’s team.
Known for their disciplined, physical style and consistent performances, they will be aiming to carry that form onto the regional stage in what promises to be a fiercely contested group.
