Guyana and defending champions Jamaica will battle it out in Sunday’s final of the West Indies Women’s T20 Blaze at Arnos Vale Playing Field in Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The championship match is a rematch of Friday’s semi-final encounter, where Guyana suffered their first loss of the tournament.

The 2025 T20 Blaze tournament began on May 1 and features six regional teams: Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and Windward Islands. The competition follows a round-robin format, with each team playing five matches.
Guyana reached the final after winning four of their five group-stage matches, including victories over Leeward Islands, Windward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados. Their only defeat came against Jamaica, who finished second on the table with three wins from five outings.
Despite Friday’s setback, Guyana remained top of the standings on 33 points, edging Jamaica by two points. The Jamaican side, led by an impressive bowling display from Vanessa Watts, secured their place in the final with a convincing win in that clash.
Caribbean cricket enthusiasts are following closely to see who will be champions.
