Guyana’s junior squash team delivered a dominant showing at the Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Junior Championships in the Cayman Islands, claiming the boys’, girls’, and overall team titles in a triumphant return to regional supremacy.
After arriving in June and opening with mixed results on June 29, the squad rallied superbly to top the standings by the tournament’s end. It marked Guyana’s first overall CASA crown since 2022, reaffirming their legacy following a remarkable streak of 12 consecutive championships from 2005 to 2016.

In a statement, the Guyana Squash Association said “we’ve had our ups and downs and ins and outs, but we won’t change a single thing — because that is what brought us to this very moment. The Guyana Squash family is proud of each and every one of you, and we hope that this CASA was an opportunity for you to create memories that will last a lifetime.”
On the final day, the Guyanese side outclassed two of their fiercest rivals in tightly contested team finals. The girls’ side edged Barbados 4–2, with Emily Fung-A-Fatt delivering the match-winning performance. The boys’ team secured a 6–3 win over Trinidad and Tobago, narrowly taking the tie 11–10 on games — one of the closest margins of the tournament.
The team’s success was also built on strong individual and doubles performances earlier in the week. Among the standout moments was a dramatic mixed doubles gold medal match, as Louis Da Silva and Avery Arjoon battled back from triple match point down to defeat Barbados’ Luke Wilson and Eboni Atherley 11–8, 8–11, 11–10.
