Four Semi-Finalists Go Head-to-Head Tonight in June Madness Futsal

Which teams will secure their place in the final of the June Madness Futsal Championship following Tuesday night’s semi-finals, where Gold Is Money, Sparta Boss, Road Warriors and Back Circle ‘A’ are set to battle it out?

The four sides progressed in dramatic fashion last Saturday night at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Georgetown, each now assured a share of the tournament’s $4 million prize purse.

A full house is expected at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall for tonight’s semi-finals.

The final showdown is set to take place on Saturday. The winning team takes on $2 million dollars, while the runners-up will receive $1 million, with the third-place team earning $500,000. Fourth place will collect $250,000.

Tonight’s programme sees Road Warriors face Gold Is Money in the first semi-final, and Sparta Boss taking on Back Circle ‘A’ in the second.

The journey to the semi-finals has been highly competitive. Last Saturday, Gold Is Money brought an end to Bomb Squad’s impressive campaign with a commanding 4-1 victory, while Back Circle ‘A’ eased into the final four with a dominant 5-1 win over Z Tekk.

On the other hand, tournament favourites Road Warriors were pushed to the brink in a tense 4-3 victory over Bent Street ‘B’, and former crowd favourites Sparta Boss showed their experience to edge past North East in a 4-3 thriller.

The semi-finals are set to deliver fireworks as four of the tournament’s heavyweights battle for a place in the final.

A total of 48 of Guyana’s top futsal teams competed in the inaugural edition of the tournament.
