No Interest In Guyana’s National Park

By Ray Winter

The current condition of Guyana’s National Park in the heart of Georgetown, leaves much to be desired. In a country where millions have been poured into infrastructure projects, it’s disheartening to see a national space—frequented by thousands for recreation and sport—fall into such neglect.

Persistent flooding, unsanitary toilet facilities, poor lighting, and uneven, potholed roads paint a picture that’s far from national pride.
