Quarter-Finals Loom for March Madness National Futsal Championships

The quarter-finals of the March Madness National Futsal Championships are set to heat up on Saturday, as the top teams continue their battle for a place in the final stages of the tournament.

The competition, organised by the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, along with Ansa McAL, kicked off on 3 June at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Georgetown.

Following several weeks of intense competition, the final four round-of-16 fixtures are scheduled for Thursday evening. Ballers United will take on Z-Tekk, North East face Linden All Stars, Back Circle ‘A’ go up against Festival City, and Back Circle ‘B’ meet Sparta Boss.

The tournament is being held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Georgetown

The winners will join fan favourites Bent Street ‘B’, Gold Is Money, Road Warriors, and giant-killers Bomb Squad in Saturday’s quarter-finals.

The fast-paced futsal format has provided a stage for both street footballers and players from top clubs to showcase their talent. A total of 48 of the best futsal teams from across Guyana entered the competition, competing for cash prizes and ultimate bragging rights.
