West Indies set for return to Europe with packed summer tour

West Indies will return to European shores for the first time since 2022, with a packed white-ball schedule across Ireland and England as part of their preparations for future global tournaments.

The tour begins with a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Ireland from May 21 to 25 at Malahide in Dublin. Just four days later, the Caribbean side head to England for a highly anticipated ODI series, looking to build on their 2-1 victory over the hosts in the Caribbean last December.

The ODI series against England runs from May 29 to June 3, followed by three T20 Internationals (T20Is) from 6 to 10 June. The tour concludes with three T20Is against Ireland in Belfast, from June 12 to 15.

The schedule forms part of the West Indies’ final build-up ahead of qualification campaigns for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 and reflects a renewed strategic push to bring consistency to their limited-overs performances.

It also marks their first full European tour since 2022, when they faced the Netherlands, Pakistan and England during a packed summer of bilateral series.

Recent form suggests promise, with the Windies claiming a 3-2 T20I series win over England last December and producing competitive performances in the ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers. With a blend of rising stars and experienced names returning to form, the upcoming fixtures are seen as a critical step in their white-ball development.

The touring squad is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
